It All Started With A New Year’s Resolution
and a Meme
It doesn’t get any more 2020 than that smh
The idea for this show came to me in a way that is only possible in 2020. The idea came from a meme. I was at a New Year's Eve party in Elizabeth, NJ, when I came across a meme that brought it to my attention that 4/20 is an entire month this year. I couldn't stop thinking about how hilarious an entire 4/20 month would be. "It might shut down the economy," I thought (clearly I had no idea that COVID-19 was coming). Five days later I began writing the first episode to release on time for the month 4/20
Timing was Everything
It tooks unparalled levels of sobriety to make sure this series was completed on time.
This series has the longest script, largest cast, largest crew, and the biggest budget of anything that I have ever produced, but the biggest challenge that I faced was that it was also the shortest timeframe. Given that I was inspired to create this series on January 1st, 2020, that gave me only three months to write a script, assemble a crew, cast the actors, film the episodes, and edit before we distribute the 1st episode April 1st.

This production would not have happened without the dedication of the cast and crew. We only had one shot at making this series happen. We did not have time for reshoots, given that New York City shut down immediately after we completed production. We can present this series to you as it is because the entire cast and crew showed up every day ready not only to have fun, and explore their craft, but also to produce their best work.
